Special Education ResourcesPhilosophical Statement: Telpochcalli firmly believes in inclusion, which is defined as providing individually designed instruction and supports for students with special needs in the context of regular education settings. Our students are full members of the school community and each student participates equitably in all opportunities and responsibilities of the general education environment.
Differentiation: Inclusion is reached by having teachers differentiate content, process, products, or the learning environment in order to meet individual needs of students. The use of ongoing assessment and flexible grouping makes this a successful approach to instructions.
Telpochcalli teachers have worked in PD to equip teachers in creating an inclusive classroom that results in maximum opportunities and outcomes for every student.
